I feel a gentle push on the back of my trolley, here we go again the second try of attempting to do the red track. So far so good,  here comes the bump.... CRASH! I feel tears stinging my eyes, I do my best to hold them in, but they still come out. I wasn't hurt, it was just that feeling you get when everyone else can do it except you. I decide to sit out for a little bit, but I knew that I would get back on…. Ok sixth turn I can do this, maybe, I don’t know. I feel like I can’t do it, and Mr. Bennett saying that he’s going to be right behind me doesn’t make me feel any better. Ok, here comes the bump, steady, and… I DID IT!!!!! I’m overjoyed with happiness but for some reason I don’t tend to show it.

I feel like throwing up, I’m shaking with fear, and sweating hard out. It’s the end of year test, the one that decided if we need another year of highschool. It’s right after break, I obviously am not going to waste my precious “non test time” hanging out or relaxing because I would blow myself up trying to. I head to the library which is crammed with people getting ready. Although I was annoyed I don’t blame them, they’re as nervous as me, “BRINGGGG”. It’s a nightmare. “You may start--NOW!!!” I started, “Huh”. and I think“Well what a start”

100 WC-Green Water

Prompt: As I stared into the water it began to turn green

It was my turn , my time to shine, my dream finally fulfilling. I walked out seeing all those people cheering for me, encouraging me. I felt victory waiting for me up on highest platform, challenging me. I climbed up the ladder to the highest platform and took a deep breath.  As I stared into the water it began to turn green, I froze, I heard my coach say “jump!” But I couldn’t, I backed down the ladder, knowing what lied beneath me, anger. As I touched the floor I realized I had let down myself just because of green water.

Today I’m going to show you why uniforms are the worst and the problem every kid which has a uniform goes through.

Uniforms are very expensive.

For example: pretend that you are a poor kid and you

come to this school, but then in the middle of the year the school decides that they're going to have uniforms. You of course, can’t afford it and have to leave the school, even worse you don’t get your money back and can not get educated again. This actually happens to more than 75% of poor all children.

Lost uniforms.

If  you’re like most people then if you had a uniform you would lose it a lot. For example: you could lose your uniform a lot. See how taking good care of uniforms is hard work, even if a you named it before it got lost do you really think someone who has lost their uniform would give it back to you, they would scribble all over the name and write theirs instead.

Uniforms are absolutely boring.

95% of all schools that have uniforms dislike their uniform they say it looks dull and some uniforms are very itchy. Disliking uniforms makes most people not want to wear them. Even if the school alouds your school to design their uniforms, everybody would want different things on it, and there is not enough space for what everybody wants. Which would make the kids who didn’t get their things on the uniforms sad.

As you can see uniforms are a horrible idea. They are extremely expensive and you can lose them easily, and seriously they are very dull and boring even itchy in some cases. Uniforms are THE WORST IDEA EVER!!! NEVER EVER GO TO A PRIMARY SCHOOL WITH UNIFORMS!!!!!

Fireflies-100 word challenge

Firefly forest, a place I was forbidden to ever go, for which I never knew why. Leaves rustled on forest floor, and birds sang chirpy songs. I looked up and there above me was a firefly, not a huge one, not a green one, just one simple firefly. I almost actually felt happy around it , until it flew away. Wanting to be happy again I followed, it was beautiful, I looked at thousands of fireflies just waiting for me to smile. I didn’t have anywhere else to go so I decided to stay. But it wasn't long until it changed.

The cold night breeze washes past my face, as warm salty tears roll down my cheeks. I have been here for months now, my  cell is unbearable and isolated. At dawn I wake up at the sound of the morning bell, and at dusk I let tears fall onto my pillow until my eyes finally shut. I miss my family.  I wish I could go back to them but this cell is impenetrable, and I know that they never take me back. My cell floor is as cold as ice and my rough shawl doesn't help on cold winter nights.

Do you think that only your tongue helps you taste? Think again, there is so much that your tongue doesn’t do. Like without saliva the food that you love would become very dry, tasteless and plain to you.

Not only does saliva bring moisture to your food but food also dissolves in it and washs over your taste giving you the taste. Saliva helps chemicals in the food get carried to the back of your nose, where you can recognize the smell.

Kids are often fussy about their food, this is because they have more taste buds than adults. Kids have more taste buds than adults, because they are way more unlikely to smoke or drink very hot tea and coffee.

Besides whatever's inside your mouth your nose also plays a big role in tasting. If your nose is blocked you will be not be able to taste so well. If you have to eat something which you don’t want to pinch your nose and eat it.

Your eyesight also plays a big role in tasting. When you look at the food it might seem appetizing or it might seem revolting. It also helps you in deciding what flavour or type it is. Ie red lollipop=strawberry lollipop.

Wasabi isn’t hot because of the taste, it’s because the chemicals in hot foods activate the pain receptors. Pain receptors are like taste receptors they detect taste, but there's one little difference pain receptors detect hotness.

By now, you’ve probably learnt something, let’s see. We learnt: Why kids are so fussy about their food and why adults lose taste. We also learned that wasabi’s hot because of the chemicals in it, and that sight and nose also help.

                              Door one

Behind door one you see a run down room. You also see the

back of a woman in a black robe. As you come closer you realise that she is eating something. You peek over one shoulder to see, but you didn’t have a chance. Suddenly the woman says, “You don’t know what you have until you lose it, for you ... it’s life”. You were about to back away but the door behind you closes “You are trapped there is no escaping” says the woman. The woman twists her head without moving her body. Her face is pale and her eyes are completely white. You bang on the door trying desperately to get out, the woman was walking slowly toward you, you start banging even harder. The woman was an inch away from you when suddenly the door flung open and you run out, quickly slamming the door behind you.

                              Door two

Behind door two you see a huge room decorated with pink. You hear an eerie noise and you follow. It leads you to a little girl in the corner of the room holding her hands over her head. The girl lifts her head up, her face is bleached with blood and she is laughing. You ask the little girl if she’s OK, She stops laughing and looks at you with a stern look. In a flash the little girl jumps on your back and starts ripping your skin, you bang onto the wall to try to get her off. You start screaming but the little girl just laughs. You bang the glass over and over again until the glass finally breaks, you grab a piece of glass and quickly stab the little girl and she falls to the ground dead. You run out of the door terrified and you see yourself instantly heal.

the dancing candy corn and the singing jelly bean of doom part 1

once upon a time there lived a candy corn who loved to dance.he danced all day and he also sleep danced all night.it was very annoying for the candy corn’s parents and neighbours,so one day everyone had enough of the dancing candy corn so they thought if they drove him to the south side of the kitchen then he wouldn't annoy anyone.when the dancing candy corn’s neighbours asked the dancing candy corn if he wanted to come to the south side of the kitchen to pick up something the dancing candy corn was delighted to come.little did they know about  the singing jelly bean of doom who lives at the south side of the kitchen. the next day the dancing candy corn and his neighbours went to the south side of the kitchen and the dancing candy corn’s neighbours told the dancing candy corn that she needed to go into the fridge,get the secret thing and come back here.”Okay”said the dancing candy corn.the dancing candy corn began her journey,she went past the sink where she almost drowned,then she went across the microwave,after that she finally made it to the fridge. she took a peek inside she saw something she went inside,she suddenly felt really cold she did not remember the fridge being so cold,she was just about to get out when the door of the fridge closed and evil laughter came from nowhere then the evil laughter stopped and said realize something said the voice.the dancing candy corn thought long and hard but he couldn't get it.no said the dancing candy corn “who are you”.”ha ha” said the voice I am the singing jelly bean of doom and I am going to destroy the whole kitchen. then why are you called the singing jelly bean of doom if you don’t sing asked the dancing candy corn. I don’t know the singing jelly bean of doom said as he confronted the dancing candy corn.the singing jelly bean of doom looked rather small in person he sounded so big and spooky he actually looks kinda cute.don’t hurt me cried the dancing candy corn.don’t worry said the singing jelly bean of doom “I am going to banish you from this world  not hurt you.”no” said the dancing candy corn of doom don’t banish me please i beg you please don’t banish me please please.enough said the singing jelly bean of doom i am going to banish you and that’s final no excuses. I am going to have to make some preparations for the banishment so you will be banished after a week agree,and oh yeah no attempts to escape.What am I going to do.

A sweet Grandparent                  by Pavitra

My grandma’s skin is very wrinkly, soft and very mushy. I love playing with my grandma’s skin, I like to mush it into stuff like skin tornados. I would say that the most wrinkly place on her is probaly just above her wrist. I like my grandma’s skin being wrinkly, mushy and most of all playful.

My grandma’s hair is not the best thing about her.  My grandma’s hair is very  very scruffy. It was naturely white but she dyes it to make herself look younger. Her hair is long as in very long and always tied back in a low ponytail with a black hair tie. It is very tangeled but I still like it and I still love her.

My grandma’s voice is very low, croaky and wise like normal elderly people. Everyone sounds like that when their older even me and I sound very bright and cheerful. My grandma’s voice sounds like she’s 80 but she’s only 69. Even though My grandma’s voice is croaky I still love her.

My grandma smells like my most favourite flavor in the world which is the smell of my grandma which really confusing actually. My grandma also smells like cooking spices because she helps my mum cook. Most of all she smells like My grandma and thats my favourite smell ever.

I love My grandma because her personality is being caring loving me and being the best grandma in the world.My grandmas personality is that she loves to read and help me.I sometimes try to cook and she helps me when I can’t cut or mix.
